This recipe taste just like my grandmother's dressing. It's very easy and tastes delicious!

4-6 servings


  • 1 lg. hen, cooked and deboned
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 4 Tbs. sage (more if desired)
  • 1 med. onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 1 lg. skillet of cornbread
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 C. broth (more if you like it really moist)

Cook onion and celery until tender. Combine cornbread, onion, celery, sage, cream of celery and margarine. Use 1/2 can cream of chicken in bottom of crockpot. Layer ingredients in crockpot (like lasagna). Add remaining 1/2 can cream of chicken on the top. Cook 2 to 3 hours in crockpot with lid on. Serve.
