  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 lb. chicken pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 C. chopped dried tomatoes
  • 3/4 C. chicken broth
  • 1/4 C. red wine
  • 1 (6-oz.) tomato paste
  • 1 can artichokes, quartered

In a bowl, mix paprika, flour, basil, salt and pepper. Add chicken and toss to coat evenly. Place onion, garlic and tomatoes in bottom of slow cooker. Top with coated chicken pieces. In a bowl, mix broth, wine and tomato paste. Pour over top of mixture in crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Stir in artichokes during the the last 30 minutes and turn crockpot to high. Serve immediately.
