This melted cheddar cheese sandwich features honey sliced ham cooked in the crock pot. With just a slow cooker and a few simple ingredients you can create this delicious dinner recipe.

  • Ham:
  • 1 bone-in or boneless ham (1/2 ham so it will fit) 20 whole cloves, divided
  • 4 Tbs. honey, divided
  • Sandwich:
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 3 leaves of romaine lettuce
  • 6-9 slices of cheddar cheese

Stick the whole cloves into the ham. Drizzle the honey over the ham after placing in the crock pot. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours. Remove, slice and place on platter. To begin making the sandwich toast 6 pieces of white bread. Add 2-3 slices of honey ham to each sandwich.  Then add some roman lettuce on top of the ham.  Top it off with 3-4 pieces of cheddar cheese.  Toast the sandwich in a toaster oven or on the stove top until the cheese melts.
