Crockpot Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1 C. butter
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 C. celery, chopped
- 1 4-oz. can mushrooms, drained
- 4 C. chicken broth
- 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 2 eggs
- 12 C. bread, cubed
Directions
Saute the onions, celery and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Set aside. In a 2-qt. bowl, combine the broth, poultry seasoning, sage, salt pepper, thyme and eggs. Mix well. In a very large bowl put the bread cubes, sauteed mixture and broth mixture. Stir to combine. Put in crockpot and cover. Cook on high forĀ 1 hour. Turn the heat down to low and cook 6 hours.
