Cube Steak Ole
- 4 cube steaks
- 4 whole green chilies (roasted and peeled) canned or fresh
- 4 slices monterey jack or cheddar cheese
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper coursely ground
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
Sprinkle cube steaks with pepper and garlic powder. Broil or grill for 4 minutes or until nicely browned. Turn and season other side of steaks and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Remove from broiler and top with split whole green chilie and top with cheese. Return to broiler for another 1 to 2 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Serve immediately.
