  • Tartar Sauce Ingredients:
  • 1 C. mayonnaise
  • 1 T. sweet pickle relish
  • 1 T. garlic
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Tuna Melt Ingredients:
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1/4 C. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 C. green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 T. basil, chopped
  • 1/2 T. cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 T. parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 American cheese slices
  • 3 T. butter
  • 8 slices wheat bread

To make the tartar sauce you should mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. Then season it with desired salt and pepper. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, in a large bowl break up the tuna and mix it with all of the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Once the tuna is ready, brush lightly on the bread slices some butter. Divide the tuna on each slice of bread and top each with a slice of cheese and garnish them with tartar sauce. Then in a greased skillet place the sandwiches and cook for 4 minutes on each side. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
