Dad's Favorite Pineapple Cake

A cream cheese-based frosting makes this cake irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 2 C. flour
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple do not drain
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts
  • Frosting:
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1 1/2 to 2 C. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 13x9 inch pan bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.

To make frosting, mix ingredients well. Put on top of cooled cake.
