  • 1 C. butter, softened
  • 2/3 C. powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 C. flour
  • 3/4 C. pecans, crushed fine
  • 2 C. powdered sugar

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, cream together the butter and 2/3 C. powdered sugar. Mix in the flour, salt, and cinnamon. Beat well until a dough forms, then stir in the vanilla and pecans.

Roll about 1 tsp. dough into a ball and put them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then set aside on a cooling rack until just warm enough to handle.

Put the powdered sugar in a bowl and toss the warm cookies gently in the sugar. Allow the cookies to cool completely and then toss them in the sugar again. Press the powdered sugar into the cookie gently, if needed.
