This simple recipe is the great way to start the day with a house full of holiday guests. This dark and rich coffee can be dressed up with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.

  • 6 C. water
  • ½ C. ground dark roast coffee
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 C. half-and-half
  • 1/3 C. dark chocolate, melted
  • ¼ C. dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Using your coffee maker, add water. In the coffee filter, pour in ground coffee as well as cinnamon sticks. In a bowl, whisk together half-and-half, melted chocolate, brown sugar, and vanilla. Pour into your coffee pot. As the coffee maker brews, the cinnamon coffee will drop into you cream mixture. Dust with extra cinnamon and serve.
