These classic fudge truffles are sinfully good and yet quick and easy to make. Beware though, their small size and delicious taste makes it easy to continue popping them in your mouth and if you turn your back to them, they might be gone and eaten by your friends by the time you turn back around!

Ingredients

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • ΒΌ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Using a heavy pot, pour the condensed milk in and stir in the dark chocolate cocoa powder and salt. Cook over low heat and stir constantly. Keep the mixture barely at a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes until the mixture is thick and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Butter your hands and roll the mixture into roughly 1 inch balls. Chill the balls until you are ready to serve.
