  • 1/2 lb. butter, softened
  • 1 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 C. oats, quick and uncooked
  • 1 C. raisins
  • 1/2 C. walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Add oats and raisins. Mix well. Fold in walnuts. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
