Decadent Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 C. butter
- 2 1/4 C. brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- two 1-oz. squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 C. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 C. boiling water
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/4 C. flour
- Frosting:
- 3 Tbs. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 C. butter
- 6 Tbs. milk
- 3 1/2 C. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 C. nuts, chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease an 11x15 inch jelly roll pan. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Stir in chocolate, buttermilk, vanilla, and water mixed with baking soda. Blend in flour. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Frosting: In a saucepan, heat and combine cocoa, butter, and milk. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and nuts. Mix well. Immediately spread on warm cake.
