Dee's Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

This is an extremely easy recipe, but tastes like it took a lot of time. Goes over very well. This cake is so rich and delicious, that you can forego the icing.

Time needed

5 minutes preparation + 55-60 minutes cooking

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dark chocolate cake mix
  • 1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding
  • 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 C. water
  • 1/4 C. oil (olive, safflower, any will do)
  • 1 container chocolate frosting (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together by hand in a bowl and pour into tube pan or bundt pan. Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes.Remove from oven and let cool.


Ice with chocolate frosting or leave plain (ice thinly as cake is very rich).
