Everyone loves a good burger. This recipe is made even better by adding sautéed mushrooms and onions. Impress your guests at your next cookout by making these delicious mushroom burgers.

  • 1 ¼ lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 C chopped red onion
  • 8 oz sliced button mushrooms
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices of cheese, whichever kind you prefer
  • Lettuce, for topping

First, turn on the broiler setting on your oven and line a broiler pan with foil. Then, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, pressing it into ¾ inch patties. PLace the patties on the broiler pan and coat with olive oil. Cook the patties for about four minutes on each side until meat is browned.

Then, saute the onions and mushrooms in olive oil over medium for about two minutes or until they’re soft and golden brown. Next, add the Worcestershire sauce and heat for about two minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper. Once sauce is heated through, remove from heat.

Place the hamburger patties on buns and top with the mushrooms, lettuce, cheese, and your favorite condiments. Serve with potato chips or your favorite side dishes.
