A classic stuffing recipe that's full of flavor and herbs. A great option for Thanksgiving because you can throw it in the crockpot and tend to your turkey!

  • 4 1/2 C. breadcrumbs
  • 1 pkg. herb stuffing mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soupĀ 
  • 1 can celery soup
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • Pinch sage
  • Pinch dill
  • Pinch salt and pepperĀ 
  • 2 Tbs. butter

Mix together breadcrumbs and stuffing mix. Add remaining ingredients and dot with butter. Pour into greased 6 qt. slow cooker. Cook on low until cooked through and set.

  • I made this for a family Thanksgiving and was embarrassed. It smelled like dog food and tasted worse than stove top. Would never make it again.

  • Normally, you don't see people use eggs in dressing, (or stuffing!) so you could leave them out. I also have to assume that the stuffing mix is the regular size like Stovetop brand?!

  • Lets eliminate! 1) You always cover a crockpot. 2) " Cook on low until cooked through and set." (Probably
    4 to 6 hours) Just check, see if the texture is right, and eggs are well done.
