Ingredients

  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 C. pumpkin puree
  • ½ C. light brown sugar
  • ½ C. whole milk
  • ¼ C. butter, room temp.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. allspice
  • ½ tsp. ginger
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Glaze
  • 1 ½ C. confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 Tbs. whole milk
  • 2 tsp. espresso

Using a mixer, whisk together all of the dry donut ingredients. Once the dry ingredients are combine, add in the puree, milk, butter, and eggs. Blend on a low speed until the batter is slightly thick. Preheat your oven to 325 (you can bake them in a donut pan or fry the batter). Fill a piping bag or a large ziplock with the batter and bake for 10-15 minutes. If you’re frying the donut, you’ll need about 2 cups of oil; fry the donuts for about 5 minutes on each side.

For the glaze, just stir the ingredients together until the mix is silky.
