  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 T. butter
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 peeled, pitted, and sliced peaches

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Stir in the egg, milk, and vanilla, mixing until combined. Gently fold in the flour mixture until combined. Spread this batter into a lightly greased pan. Evenly distribute the peach slices on top of the batter and sprinkle with a little sugar. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
