  • 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
  • 1 C. plain yogurt
  • 1 pkg. chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 C. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 C. water
  • Eggnog Frosting:
  • 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. eggnog
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 C. butter
  • Pinch of salt

Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients in large bowl with an electric mixer on low. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Pour into greased 10-inch round pan. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. For eggnog frosting, mix sugar and flour in saucepan. Beat in eggnog and nutmeg until smooth. Heat mixture over medium heat while beating until frosting thickens. Cool for at least 30 minutes. Beat butter and salt in large bowl until fluffy. Pour in eggnog mix and beat until creamy and light. Spread frosting on cake before serving.
