  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • 30-36 jarred maraschino cherries
  • ¼ C. chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp. cherry juice (from maraschino cherry jar)
  • 1 ½ C. all purpose flour
  • 2/3 C. cocoa
  • 2 T. sweetened condensed milk

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Mix in the rest of the ingredients except for the jarred maraschino cherries. Roll out 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment cover cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Melt the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk on a low heat. Remove the cookies from the oven and place them on a cooling rack. Add a cherry to each cookie and drizzle the chocolate mixture over each cookie.
