Double Tofu in Sweet and Savory Sauce

You get two different kinds of tofu in this interesting dish!

  • one 16-oz. tub extra-firm tofu
  • one 8 to 12-oz. package baked tofu
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. maple syrup
  • 2 Tbs. soy sauce

Cut all tofu into 1/2 inch thick slices.  Blot, then dice tofu.  Slowly heat oil, syrup, and soy sauce together in a skillet, stirring as they heat.  Add tofu and stir quickly to coat with sauce.  Saute over medium-high heat until golden and crisp.  This should take about 10 minutes.  Serve.
