  • 3 lbs. beef chuck roast
  • 1 garlic
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 4 carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces (or 10-16 baby carrots)
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered (or red potatoes, no need to peel)
  • 2 celery stalks, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pkg. onion soup
  • 1 C. water

Put vegetables into crockpot. Place meat on top of vegetables. Sprinkle with seasonings. Combine the mushroom soup, dry onion soup and water. Pour over the meat to cover. Put the lid on and cook on low for 8-10 hours, until meat is very tender.
