Easy and Tasty Caramel Drizzle Bars
Serving Size / Yield
- Oats, 2 cups
- All-purpose flour, 2 & 1/2 cup, divided
- Granulated sugar, 1/2 cup & 2 tbsp, divided
- Baking soda, 1/2 tsp
- Cranberries, 1 cup
- 1 cup melted butter
- Toasted walnuts, chopped, 3/4 cup
- Light brown sugar, 1/2 cup
- chopped figs, 1 1/2 cup
- Caramel cream topping, 1 cup
Combine 2 tbsp granulated sugar and the cranberries in a bowl and set aide.
Stir the oats, flour (2 cups), rest of the sugar, brown sugar and baking soda in a medium bowl and whisk well. Add the butter.
Reserve one cup of the above mixture and bake the rest in a 13X9 pan in 350 degree F for 15-20 minutes.
Combine walnuts and figs with the cranberries and drizzle the mixture evenly over the baked crust. Whisk the remaining 1/2 cup flour and the caramel topping together and sprinkle over nuts and fruits. Use the rest of the crumb mixture for sprinkling as well.
Bake for another 15 minutes and afterwards cool the preparation on a wire rack.
