  • 1 beef sirloin tip roast, thinly sliced
  • 2 sliced green onions
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 C. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 C. shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 2 Tbs. sesame seeds, toasted
  • 2 Tbs. all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil

Heat the vegetable oil in your crockpot, on medium. Then, add in the beef. Brown the beef evenly on each side. Next, add in the sugar, water, soy sauce, sesame oil and flour to the crockpot. Stir well to fully incorporate. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Then, add in the vegetables: green onion, garlic, mushrooms, carrots and sesame seeds. Stir well again. Cook for another 1-2 hours or until the vegetables are soft and the meat is tender. Remove beef to a serving platter; sprinkle with additional green onions and sesame seeds.
