  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter

Use a small knife to save a thin slice off the base of the sprouts. Cut them in half through the base. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the sprouts and salt to taste. Cook until the sprouts are tender when pierced with a knife, 6-8 minutes. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sprouts and salt and pepper to taste. Cook 2-3 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally. Serve hot.
