Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 lg. eggs, beaten
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 C. plain dry bread crumbs
  • 4 p
  • 2 lb ham
  • 2 C fontina cheese
  • 4 Tbs. butter

Spread the flour on wax paper. In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper to taste and put it next to the paper. Put the bread crumbs in a shallow plate and put it next to the eggs, so all three ingredients are in a row. Put a cooling rack over a tray. Place the ham on a cutting board. Trim off the fat around the edges. Holding a sharp knife parallel to the board, make one-inch slits all over the ham. Pat dry. Stuff with pre-made mixture. Make sure the ham is covered completely. Place ham on the rack to dry.


Bake ham at 400 degrees F for 5 hours.
