  • 1 smoked ham hock
  • 6 slices of thick bacon
  • 4 C. water
  • 8 C. collard greens
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper

Directions

Wash the collard greens and remove the thick stems. Chop them up. Place them aside. In a skillet, cook the bacon. Transfer the bacon and the grease into the crockpot. Add in the prepared collard greens, smoked ham hock, water, salt and pepper. Set crockpot on low. Cook for 6 hours. Serve and enjoy!
