I grew up on boxed macaroni and cheese that was day-glow orange. As I grew up, I still wanted to eat macaroni and cheese, but I needed a more mature recipe. This recipe makes amazing homemade mac and cheese that satisfies my inner kid and tastes delicious!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 4 C. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 12 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 C. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

In a greased crockpot, combine the macaroni, 3 C. cheese, evaporated milk, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Top with the remaining 1 C. of cheese, cover, and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
