Easy Garbanzo Bean Hot Pot

Ingredients
- 1 C. chopped onion
- 2 Tbs. butter
- two 15-oz. cans garbanzo beans, drained
- one 13 3/4-oz. can chicken broth
- 1 C. chopped, peeled tomato
- 1/4 C. chopped green chilies
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dried marjoram leaves, crushed
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Directions
In a large skillet, cook onion in butter until tender but not brown. Stir in garbanzos, chicken broth, tomato, chilies, salt, marjoram, pepper, and bay leaf. Reduce heat, then simmer, uncovered, for about 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving.
