This mixture of spices is really flavorful and it tastes especially good on the grill. It's a healthier way to make potatoes than frying.

Slice potatoes with a knife or mandoline about 1/4-inch thick. Soak in cold water for about 20 minutes. Drain potatoes and pat dry.

In a separate bowl, combine spices. Drizzle potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle spice mix over. Mix with hands or tongs until each potato slice is fully covered and has a reddish color from the paprika.

Place on the grill in a single layer for about 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on your grill and the thickness of the potatoes.

Serve with garlic sauce, ketchup or on their own.

  • My guess is that the raw potatoes need 45 minutes of cooking time and need to be turned. Time could be less if using a grill lid to lock in more heat.

Parboil the potatoes a bit, and that cuts the cooking time a lot. I usually grill parboiled slices 15 or so minutes - turning once.

  • I think they want a "sprig of rosemary" - not "spring rosemary"

  • I think they meant 4 or 5 minutes on each side, instead of 405.
