Easy Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

This recipe has been a favorite of my friends for many years. It's spicy and sweet at the same time.

  • 12 slices deli ham
  • 12 slices deli Swiss cheese
  • 2 cans juice packed pineapple chunks, reserve juice
  • 1/2 C. spicy deli style mustard
  • 2/3 C. packed brown sugar

Prepare serving platter and place dip bowl in center. Slice the cheese and ham in half, lengthwise, into long strips. Place a slice of ham onto a slice of cheese. Place a chunk of pineapple at one end and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick. Repeat placing each roll onto the platter as they are ready.

To make the dip, mix the mustard and brown sugar with enough of the reserved juice - about 1/8 C. to 1/4 C. - to reach your desired consistency. Be sure to taste test and adjust spicy/sweetness to suit your party. Pour into dip bowl just before serving.
