Easy Iced Vanilla Latte
Serving Size / Yield
- 1 cup coffee, brewed to your taste
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice, to taste
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and heat over medium, stirring frequently until combined.
Continue to stir until the sugar and water forms a thin syrup and begins to bubble gently. Remove the syrup from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the coffee into a 16 ounce glass over the right amount of ice and stir in the vanilla syrup. Next, pour the milk over the top. Serve immediately.
If you prefer it, this recipe can be adjusted for low-calorie diets by substituting skim milk instead of whole, and using an artificial sweetener such as Splenda instead of sugar in the syrup.
