Ingredients

  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. margarine
  • 1/2 C. Crisco
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 C. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 C. chopped pecans
  • 2 C. coconut
  • Egg whites beaten stiff

Directions

Cream together sugar, margarin and Crisco. Add egg yolks, buttermilk, baking soda and flour. Fold in chopped pecans, coconut and egg whites. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes in 3 layers. Top with Cream Cheese Frosting.
