  • 1 (3 lb.) jar pasta sauce with meat
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes with basil, oregano, and garlic
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned
  • 1 b. pork sausage, cooked and diced
  • 1-2 dashes sausage pan drippings
  • 1 Tbs. garlic, minced
  • oregano
  • basil
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Combine all the ingredients in a large pot and heat over low flame. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring frequently. Season with salt, pepper, basil, and oregano to taste. Serve over your favorite pasta.
