This recipe for mushroom pasta is easy and delicious. Give this recipe a try if you have any extra mushrooms you need to use up. If you desire a thicker sauce, you can add cream and more cheese.

  • 1 box linguine pasta
  • 8 oz button mushrooms, sliced
  • ⅓ c olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 t lemon juice
  • 3 t parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Mix together sliced mushrooms, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, and basil. Then, cook pasta in salted boiling water for eight to 10 minutes and then drain, reserving some of the water the pasta was cooked in. After pasta is done cooking, mix it with the mushrooms and oil. Then, add cheese and season with salt and pepper. Add extra pasta water if sauce is too thick, and serve.
