English toffee is hard to master but this easy recipe will put you on your way!

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 2 Tbs. water

Combine in heavy saucepan and bring to boil. Boil until it is the right color of toffee--a little darker rather than lighter. Pour over pecans spread out in a jelly roll pan with sides. Take milk chocolate Hershey bars and melt over the top. Let cool and then crack into pieces. Be sure not to let your children around in the kitchen when you make it as it is very hot!
