Easy Plum Galette
Serving Size / Yield
- 1 pre-made pastry dough
- 2/3 C. sugar
- 3 Tbs. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 lb. large plums—halved, pitted and cut into 1/2-inch wedges
- 3 Tbs. margarine
Unfold the dough on a lined baking sheet. Let sit until malleable.
In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of the sugar with the flour. Spread this mixture evenly over the dough leaving a two inch edge. Arrange the plum wedges on top and dot with the margarine. Sprinkle all but one teaspoon of the remaining sugar over the fruit. Fold the edge of the dough up over the plums to create a two-inch border. Sprinkle the border with the reserved one teaspoon of sugar.
Bake the tart in the middle of the oven for about one hour, until the fruit is very soft and the crust is richly browned. Let cool to room temperature before serving.
