Easy Pour Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 lb. mushrooms
- 1 1/2 lbs. bulk Italian sausage (mild or hot)
- 6 Tbs. margarine
- 1/4 C. chopped onion
- 1/4 C. chopped green pepper
- 1 C. all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves, chopped
- 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2/3 C. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 can (10 1/4 oz.) Italian marinara sauce
- 1 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Clean and slice mushrooms; set aside. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage. Set meat aside and discard fat. Heat butter in the same skillet. Add mushrooms, onion and green peppers; saute until tender and onions are opaque. Lightly grease and flour a 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 inch pan. In a small bowl, combine flour, salt, oregano, black pepper, milk and eggs; mix until smooth. Pour batter into pan tilting to cover the entire bottom. Arrange meat and vegetable mixture over batter. Bake in preheated 425-degree oven on low rack for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with marinara sauce and sprinkle cheese over the top. Return to oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
