  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/4 C. flour
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 3/4 C. water
  • 1/4 C. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 C. instand mashed potato flakes
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In an large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until brown. Drain fat. Stir 1/4 C. flour and dry onion soup mix into meat. Stir in soup and 3/4 C. water. Cook until heated through. In a medium saucepan, combine remaining water, margarine and salt. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Add dry potato flakes and milk, stirring until mixed. Whisk in eggs, the 1 cup flour and the baking powder. Pour meat mixture into 3 qt. baking dish. Spoon potato mixture on top of meat mixture. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until potato mixture's top is golden brown.
