Easy Southern-Style Peach Cobbler
- 6-8 fresh peaches, pealed and sliced or 1 pkg. frozen peaches
- 1 stick butter
- 1 C. sugar
- 1 C. flour
- 1 Tbs. baking powder
- 2/3 C. milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in bottom of 8x8 baking dish. Cover bottom of baking dish with sliced peaches. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix in milk until smooth. Pour over peaches. Bake 40-45 minutes until brown and crispy on top.
If you want to make more, double the fruit and batter and use a 9x13 baking dish, but do not double the butter. You can also use your favorite pie filling instead of the fresh fruit.
