Easy Stroganoff

This is a family favorite that has been handed down from my grandmother.

  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 3/4 oz. can beef broth
  • 1 lb. boneless sirloin steak strips
  • 2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbs. ketchup
  • 8 oz. sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 C. sour cream
  • 1 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • egg noodles

Heat oil in skillet. Add beef and cook until browned and juices evaporate, stirring often. Remove meat and add onions to skillet and cook until translucent. If using cooked roast, start with cooking onions. Add soup, broth, Worcestershire, ketchup, mushrooms, and meat. Heat to a simmer and cook about 15 minutes stirring often. Add sour cream. Heat through. Serve over hot noodles. Add salad, bread and enjoy.

  • This is the way I make my Beef Stroganoff as well and it is an easy and economical meal. And you can use a little less expensive beef and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it is easy to slice yourself and save more money.
