  • 3 large hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 raw egg
  • 4 onions
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 C. fresh breadcrumbs
  • 8 oz. bacon

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Chop the onions and heat the butter in a skillet. Cook the onions for about 20 minutes until golden. Put the Worcestershire, ground beef, and onions in a bowl and mix with you hands. Add the raw egg to the mixture and finally add the breadcrumbs. Split the mixture in half and press one half in the bottom of a loaf pan. Peel and place the hard-boiled eggs in a row down the middle. Shape the rest of the meat over the eggs and cover with slices of bacon. Bake for 1 hour until the juices run clear. Let the meatloaf rest 15 minutes before serving.
