  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2/3 C. water
  • 1 2/3 C. chopped tomatoes
  • 1 2/3 C. kidney beans
  • 1 2/3. C. sweet corn
  • 1 package of chili con carne mix, personal choice of brand preference
  • 2 chili pepper, diced
  • Hot sauce

In a large saucepan, brown the beef and onions together until brown. Drain off any extra fat or liquids from pan. Add in the chili mix, water, tomatoes, kidney beans, sweet corn, chili pepper, and hot sauce to taste. Bring the chili to a boil, stirring continuously. Reduce heat and cover. Let simmer for 20 minutes until thoroughly cooked. Serve with a side of rice, cheddar cheese, or tortilla chips.
