  • 2 T. unsalted butter
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3 T. sour cream
  • 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 5 ½ oz. bittersweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 T. + 1 ½ tsp. cornstarch

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Brush four bowls with butter and coat them with sugar. Whisk the egg whites in a medium sized bowl. Add in the cream of tartar. Add in 1/3 C. sugar, the melted chocolate, cornstarch and salt. Bring this mixture to the stovetop and let it simmer. Add in the egg yolks. Fill the four prepared bowls with the mixture. Bake on a baking sheet for about 14 minutes, the middle should be gooey. Dust them with powdered sugar if desired.
