  • 3 lb. boneless pork roast
  • 2 T. vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 T. paprika
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 T. cumin
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 C. water
  • 1 C. ketchup
  • ¼ C. molasses
  • 2 T. brown sugar
  • 1 ½ T. Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Season pork roast with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon in a skillet and sear all side of the roast until brown; transfer to a crockpot. Heat remaining oil in skillet and sauté onion and garlic until softened. Season with paprika, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Add in water, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, and Worcestershire. Heat through and pour over pork roast. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until pork can be shredded with a fork. Serve on buns.
