- 1 pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked al dente and drained
- 1/4 C. olive oil
- 1 onion, minced
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. sausage
- 4 C. ricotta cheese
- 3 C. mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 C. parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 Tbs. oregano
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 C. tomato sauce
Preheat oven at 350 degrees F. Heat olive oil in large sauce pan on medium heat. Add onions, garlic, beef and sausage. Cook until ready. Remove excess liquid and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of mozzarella cheese, 1/2 C. parmesan cheese and oregano. Fold in 2 eggs and mix completely. Set aside. In lasagna pan, add some tomato sauce. Next place the lasagna noodles and layer them in the pan. Next a little more sauce, the meat mixture and cheese. Evenly spread. Continue to layer, ending with noodles, sauce and cheese. Add foil over pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes.
