  • For the filling:
  • 4 oz. German sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 C. chopped pecans
  • For the topping:
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 C. flaked coconut
  • ½ C. packed brown sugar
  • ½ C. heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ C. butter, cubed
  • ¼ C. chopped pecans
  • Extra:
  • 1 store bought piecrust

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. For the filling melt the chocolate in the microwave and stir it until it is smooth. Add in the condensed milk, vanilla, pecans, and egg yolks. Poor the mixture into the store bought piecrust. Let it bake for 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, start on your topping. In a saucepan, mix the brown sugar, butter, and cream. Bring it to a boil. Remove from the heat. Slowly pour this mixture into the egg yolks and let it thicken. Add in the vanilla and coconut. Pour the mixture over the filling. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the pie. Cool for 4 hours and enjoy.
