Faux Lasagna

I recently had a hankering for lasagna, but the thought of all that work was daunting at the time so I cut out a few steps. I used a one quart baking dish, (ideal for one person) but this recipe can be adjusted to a 13x9 baking dish. There is no need to cook the lasagna macaroni product or make your own sauce.

  • 1 frozen pkg. large raviolis (24 count)
  • 1 lg. jar pasta sauce
  • 1 lg. pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese, grated

Cook ravioli according to pkg. directions in salted water. Drain and cool. Place a small amount of the sauce on the bottom on the baking dish. Lay out a layer of raviolis. Place a generous layer of mozzarella on raviolis, cover with a layer of sauce. Continue until you have used all the raviolis. On the top layer, place the sauce first, then a mixture of mozzarella and Parmesean cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven until the top is bubbly and just beginning to brown.
