Peanut brittle is one of the classics around the holiday season, but it can also be enjoyed any time your sweet tooth starts acting up!

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Grease a large baking sheet and set it aside. 

In a large saucepan with a thick bottom, boil the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Make sure the sugar has dissolved before adding in the peanuts. Stir the mix until it reaches 300 degrees. 

Remove from the heat and quickly stir in the butter and baking soda. Pour the mix onto the greased baking sheet. Once it has cooled (approximately 4 hours), break it into pieces and enjoy!
