  • 4 lg. potatoes
  • 1 sm. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbs. flour
  • 3 tbs. oil for frying
  • Sugar, to serve
  • Applesauce, to serve

Peel and grate potatoes, mix with onion and milk. Mix with salt, egg and flour. Drop by tablespoonfuls into hot fat or oil in skillet. Brown on both sides and serve immediately. Serve with sugar, applesauce or any sauce of choice.
