  • 2 T. butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 T. flour
  • ½ C. white wine
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • 1 package of mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 C. frozen peas
  • 1 package of spaghetti
  • 1 C. parmesan, grated
  • 1 ½ lb. boneless chicken breasts
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Set your crockpot on a high setting. Boil the spaghetti as instructed on the package. In a saucepan, caramelize the onions and mushrooms with the butter over medium heat. Meanwhile, sprinkle the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place the chicken breasts into the saucepan with the onions. Let them brown on both sides. Transfer mixture into the crockpot. In the saucepan add in the flour, milk, heavy cream and white wine. Let it simmer. Pour mixture into the crockpot. Add in the dried thyme. Let it cook on for 2 hours. Remove the chicken and shred it with a fork. Turn off the crockpot. Add in the peas. Let them unfreeze. Serve over spaghetti. Sprinkle parmesan cheese. Enjoy.
